A TFP / TFCD session is a photo shoot where the main objective is for all participants (photographer, model, support team...) to obtain portfolio material of their interest without any financial cost.
Can a TFP / TFCD session be considered professional?
Absolutely! In fact, many professional photographers and models (who normally charge for their work) do these types of collaborations when the proposal is interesting or innovative.
What is the reason for the existence of TFP / TFCD sessions?
If someone is starting out in this world (a photographer acquiring professional gear, a model looking to gain exposure...), the best way to see if they like it (or if they are ready for the effort it requires) is through collaborations that don't hurt their wallet. And if they really want to make a living from it, they will have time to do so in the future once they gain the necessary baseline experience.
Can anyone organize or participate in a TFP / TFCD session?
As a general rule, YES. However, it's wise to first check the experience of the other participants. Including people without prior experience can sometimes slow down or hinder the session for everyone.
Can doing TFP / TFCD be considered unfair competition or unprofessional undercutting?
Flatly NO. Many professionals who make a living from this work (photographers, models...) take on TFP / TFCD sessions because an offer or concept is creative and appealing. Why shouldn't people be able to enjoy their hobby without charging or paying the other party? As long as everyone is serious and respectful, TFP / TFCD is welcome and does not harm anyone's business.
Are there unsafe or untrustworthy people in the TFP / TFCD world?
Sure, just like in any other walk of life. It is common to know (or have heard of) someone who had a bad experience. That is why it is essential to check the background and portfolio of the other party to avoid surprises. At the slightest suspicion, distrust, or uncomfortable proposal, it is best to say NO and look for someone else.
How does 8830photo approach TFP / TFCD sessions?
Once the request is submitted, 8830photo always asks for a preliminary video call (or an in-person meeting if geographically close) to get a mutual first impression. Prior to this, the applicant will have completed a short form choosing the type of session desired and the styles she is willing to do.
Is what is filled out in the form binding?
NO. Neither the form details nor what is agreed upon during the initial video call are binding. It is just a first contact to get acquainted, and 8830photo prefers to let the model choose what she feels most comfortable with. In the days leading up to the agreed date, there will be plenty of time to brainstorm ideas and define goals.
Does the model always decide the location and photography styles?
For a first session, 8830photo always gives the model full freedom to choose everything. The only thing to keep in mind is that, as a TFP / TFCD collaboration, the photographer must also find material of interest in the proposals. If the model only wants a style that does not align with 8830photo's interest, it is best to hire another photographer for paid services.

It is a common misconception, but the answer is NO. The model sets the boundaries and decides the scope. If you want to take photos in lingerie or semi-nude, you are welcome. If you only want portraits, you are equally welcome.
How are my image rights protected against potential misuse of the photos?
8830photo only conducts TFP / TFCD photo sessions under a digital release agreement protecting copyright and image rights. A blank sample copy of this agreement is always provided beforehand to address any questions. Once the shoot is complete, the contract is signed digitally, and both parties leave with their signed and validated copy.
How many photos does 8830photo deliver from a session?
8830photo delivers all unedited JPGs (straight out of camera) to all participants. As for retouched photos, around 8–10 edited photos are typically delivered, though this number may vary depending on the nature of the shoot and the results obtained.
How long does 8830photo take to deliver the photos?
8830photo delivers all straight-out-of-camera photos within a maximum of 48 hours. Agreed retouched photos may take a bit longer depending on the photographer's schedule. As a general rule, all agreed edited photos are delivered within a maximum of 4 weeks.
How is it agreed which photos each party will use?
Strictly speaking, the signed contract allows all parties to use the photos freely as long as no commercial profit is generated. However, 8830photo goes further to respect image rights: in the days following the shoot, 8830photo will send a list of candidate photos, and the model can specify which ones may be published on social media. 8830photo will never publish a photo that the model does not want shared publicly.
What use will be made of the photos?
Primarily social media and personal portfolios of the participants. Models can also use them in their professional agency portfolios. Since this is a TFP / TFCD session, the only restriction (as stated in the contract) is that no party may generate direct commercial profit from the photos.
Can the photos be used on any website or social media platform?
Yes, but with certain restrictions. Since it is a TFP / TFCD shoot, usage on monetized platforms is not permitted—for example, uploading photos to stock libraries or monetized platforms like OnlyFans.
Can I edit the photos myself for social media?
Of course. 8830photo allows other participants to edit the photos obtained from the TFP / TFCD session as they wish, provided edits are made from the original (SOOC) unedited files, never on top of 8830photo's edited versions.
What if I don't want to share the session photos on social media?
8830photo will only use selected photos on social media (Instagram) and his professional portfolio. Other participants agree to the same. If the model wishes to shoot specific material strictly for private use, this can be agreed upon beforehand. For example, if five mutual styles are planned and the model also wants a set of photos purely for private use, a consensus can easily be reached :)
Can I send the photos to third parties?
Photos may be shown or sent to third parties (family, friends...) provided those persons are informed that they cannot make public use of them without prior authorization from 8830photo.
Can I revoke the signed agreement or request the removal of the photos?
Yes, of course. If the model wants specific photos removed from 8830photo's social media and professional portfolio, simply request it via phone, WhatsApp, or Instagram DM. If the model desires total cancellation of the agreement, 8830photo provides a withdrawal form to exercise that right. All photos in 8830photo's possession (social media, website, SD card backups...) will be permanently deleted. Since the withdrawal document also revokes the photographer's copyright release, the model must similarly delete any copies in her possession.
I want to update my agency polaroids (digitals). Do I have to shoot them in lingerie?
Not necessarily, but if you intend to submit them to an agency, it is the standard and widely accepted outfit. You can shoot them in a plain bikini with the exact same result. If the model prefers other outfits, 8830photo will shoot them as requested, but please note that agencies will likely request standard digitals re-shot (possibly with fees). The styles for each photoshoot are agreed upon in advance with the model. If the model exclusively wants erotic/nude work, the answer is NO. If the model wants this style alongside other mutually agreed styles that interest 8830photo, the answer is YES.
Does 8830photo do sessions exclusively for private platforms like OnlyFans or SuicideGirls?
YES, but with certain conditions. Since 8830photo will not obtain photographic material for its social media (Instagram), the content to be generated must be agreed upon in advance and must include some ideas that interest 8830photo for its professional portfolio.
Can I bring a companion to the session?
Of course, and it is highly recommended whenever working with someone for the first time. It provides an extra layer of comfort and support.
